Armadillo

Armadillo is an automated code review tool by Acktinos, designed to align your code with ServiceNow’s Technical Best Practices and industry-proven JavaScript best practices from the Champion Technical Governance category. Armadillo pinpoints where best practices aren’t followed, allowing developers to drill down on the indicated object and fix the issue.

Armadillo also enables code governance with an emphasis on agility; it will continue to work even when extensive changes are made. Adaptive code minimizes downtime, allowing developers to focus on the organization’s objectives instead of trivial errors and breaks.
Armadillo can also be used to recruit expert developers, allowing you to analyze their code before hiring.

ServiceNow best practice analysis

The instance best practices will make sure that demands that we enable on the instance will be managed, and the health of the instance is managed accordingly. It also ensures that software complies with ServiceNow coding and configuration standards

Migration analysis between instances for update sets:

Armadillo will ensure migration occurs smoothly and ensure a defect-free, well-documented instance. It provides for teaching and sharing knowledge between the developers/architects within your organization.

JavaScript lint analysis:

Armadillo works through REST calls to the ServiceNow API. JSON outputs are received and analyzed, providing data on code that does not follow best practices. Ensuring the maintainability and scalability of the platform

Historical analysis of the how the instance is progressing in adhering to rules:

Armadillo shows whether each query passes or fails the check, and reveals the location at which issues occur. Your developers can then adjust their code to match ServiceNow’s technical best practices, thereby achieving better performance.
